This summer I had the priviledge to shoot a documentary on the restoration of the Lakeport Plantation below Lake Village Arkansas. The story isn't so much about the house and grounds, but about the building and repairing of relationships between the plantation owners, slaves and their families. I think it got off to a good start. Arkansas State University is heading up the restoration. Jack Hill produced the documenatry. Here I am looking lost as usual at the ribbon cutting ceremonies.

One of my favorite shoots every year. The Arkansas Big Bass Bonanza! I get to hang out at Dardanelle State Park with my good friends and fishing legends Lester and Joan Craig. They are truly world class folks and are one reason the tournament is so successful.

Gabrielle Reece
I did a live shot at a golf course with Gabrielle Reece of modeling fame. She could hit a golf one handed farther than I could with two. Reece's height is 6 ft 3 in and her measurements are 36-24-35, according to Celebrity Sleuth magazine. She claims in her book to wear size 11 shoes. It's true!Friday, May 4, 2007

The series features real home videos shot by real people, showing what real Americans do for fun. "Country Fried Home Videos is pure, escapist entertainment that allows our viewers to have starring roles in some of funniest and most incredible videos you'll ever see. In this segement David Settlemoir and myself told the story of a guy from Newport Arkansas going through the automatic carwash in the back of a friends pick up truck. Don Teague/NBC News
I spent a couple of days with Don Teague down in Shreveport Louisiana. Don is the NBC News correspondent based in the network’s Dallas bureau. He was doing a story on Louisiana's Hollywood. We interviewed Meg Ryan and Antonio Banderas on the movie set of "Homeland Security". Don, a filmmaker himself has written, produced, and was the cinematographer on a feature called "Song of Songs". http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1645826/ Not only is he talented, but he's a real nice guy.

NBC's Mike Taibbi moderates a discussion on the Iraqi war with folks from Arkansas. The segment aired on Nightly News. Leonard Chamblee shoots with a Panasonic DVX 100a and steadies with a Fig Rig. NBC's Ron Blome and Mario Garcia were the producers. Dan Hampton was the audio tech.
Helicopter aerials
Shooting a few aerials with the best chopper pilot ever. Ed "Mad Dog" Etheridge. The Bell 206B Helicopter is one of the safest ones to fly. If...you don't fall out.
KKK Trial in Birmingham Alabama
This a news conference outside the courtroom in Birmingham during a KKK trial. Former Ku Klux Klansman Thomas Blanton was convicted of four counts of first-degree murder in the 1963 bombing of the 16th Street Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama, which left four young girls dead and injured another 22 adults and children.

While on a "live"shot with Willie Nelson, I had a little time on "Honeysuckle Rose" to have him sign a vintage Gibson guitar that I own.

Even though we almost got in trouble with the Secret Service, getting an interview with President Clinton by Rita Cosby of Fox News proved to be an adventure David Settlemoir and I won't forget.

This was the family that won the home make-over by P. Allen Smith. This was taken right after he surprised them with an appearance. It was like the prize patrol.

With Alex Chadwick and Ray Farkas from PBS. The show was shot on the midway at the Arkansas State Fair and is called "Interviews 50 cents".
