Lakeport Plantation

This summer I had the priviledge to shoot a documentary on the restoration of the Lakeport Plantation below Lake Village Arkansas. The story isn't so much about the house and grounds, but about the building and repairing of relationships between the plantation owners, slaves and their families. I think it got off to a good start. Arkansas State University is heading up the restoration. Jack Hill produced the documenatry. Here I am looking lost as usual at the ribbon cutting ceremonies.

I did a live shot at a golf course with Gabrielle Reece of modeling fame. She could hit a golf one handed farther than I could with two. Reece's height is 6 ft 3 in and her measurements are 36-24-35, according to Celebrity Sleuth magazine. She claims in her book to wear size 11 shoes. It's true!

I spent a couple of days with Don Teague down in Shreveport Louisiana. Don is the NBC News correspondent based in the network’s Dallas bureau. He was doing a story on Louisiana's Hollywood. We interviewed Meg Ryan and Antonio Banderas on the movie set of "Homeland Security". Former Ku Klux Klansman Thomas Blanton was convicted of four counts of first-degree murder in the 1963 bombing of the 16th Street Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama, which left four young girls dead and injured another 22 adults and children.
